Declined twice to supplant the tax bill with the discussion of a resolution to ask the President to intervene in the anthracite strike, 48 to 28 and 43 to 38.

Adopted without debate or a record vote a resolution directing the Federal Trade Commission to turn over to the Senate all data in its files against the Aluminum Co. of America (data previously denied to the Department of Justice). (TIME, Jan. 18.)...
