In Manhattan, ten University of Michigan undergraduates strode up a Grace Line gangplank, bound for Lima, Lake Titicaca, Cuzco, La Paz, Iquique, Antofagasta. Bidden guests of most of the South American Republics, the ten were escorted by two members of their alma mater's Romance Language staff.
