Benito Mussolini's Cabinet tendered their resignations to their chief;
he received them without comment.
After a visit to the King, Premier Benito was expected to announce the
formation of a coalition Cabinet, after which, so the story ran, he
would accept most of the ministerial resignations presented to him.
