One Paul Heisser, birth control practitioner, caused a sensation at his trial for illegal surgery when he handed the Judge a list of 400 names of persons upon whom he had recently operated. He was sentenced to 18 months' imprisonment. His wife, who had aided him, was fined $70.

Spiderweb stockings, made of thread so fine that it takes 279 miles of it to make a pound of silk, are the latest novelty in women's dress at Berlin. Dealers stated that they were only for show and could not outlast a single jazz.
