The Cabinet, after considering the respective merits of May 4, 11 and 18, decided to hold Parliamentary elections on May 11—which will be just one week after the German Reichstag elections. As the attitude of the French electorate will largely depend on events in Germany, the eleventh will be most advantageous to Poincaré.
