Charles Maurras, famed Royalist leader, distinguished classical scholar and author, co-editor of L'Action Francaise, was sentenced to eight months' imprisonment by the Paris Court of Appeals for having incited young Royalists to administer castor oil to Socialist Deputies Maurice Viollette, Marc Sagnier and Marius Moutet. Last June M. Maurras was sentenced together with three members of the Camelots du Roi (King's Hawkers—a Royalist organization) to four months' imprisonment.
