AERONAUTICS: Polar Personnel

The skipper and crew for the Shenandoah's proposed trip to the North Pole next Summer are still to be selected. Commander Frank R. McCrary should be the logical candidate. But his openly expressed disapproval of the expedition has earned him somewhat of a reprimand from Secretary Denby, and enlisted men at Lakehurst seem slow to volunteer with McCrary as their prospective chief. So far but 60 have signed up and of these only ten are eligible to go. They seem to think Captain Heinen and Commander Weyerbacher more experienced and more competent...
