After the defeat of the Conservative Ministry in the House of Commons on a motion of no confidence (TIME, Jan. 28), Premier Baldwin taxied to Buckingham Palace and tendered the resignations of his Cabinet to the King and advised His Majesty to ask James Ramsay Macdonald, Labor Leader of the Opposition, to form a Cabinet.
