II Giornale d'Italia, Rome journal, reported that Italy and Russia have presented to each other the names of their Ambassadors for approval. Full recognition of Russia was expected to be declared within a few days.

The Rome Harvard Club gave a farewell dinner to Richard Washburn Child, retiring U. S. Ambassador to Italy. The dinner was given in a restaurant containing the remains of the ancient Circus of Flaminius, built in 175 B. C.
