Religion: Overlooking the Vatican

Rev. Dr. Bertrand M. Tipple was in charge of the American Methodist Church and College, which overlooks the Vatican, as early as 1910 when the late Theodore Roosevelt visited Rome. The Methodists have always been at loggerheads with the Vatican. Because Roosevelt called on the Methodists, he was refused an audience with the Pope.
