In Rome, the U. S. is represented for the
first time in a separate section at the Second Biennial Exposition
of Fine Arts, which opened in the Palazzo di Belli Arti. The American
High Commissioner is Frederick E. Triebel, sculptor, assisted by
Blashfield, French, MacMonnies, Barnard, Pennell, Dielman, Hassam,
Melchers and other representative artists.
