Ard Fheis (or the Sinn Fein Convention) was held at the Mansion House, Dublin. Mary MacSwiney, sister of the former Lord Mayor of Dublin who starved himself to death, was elected Chairwoman of the Convention in the absence of Eamon de Valera, imprisoned.
