The New York Evening Journal (Hearst) printed pictures of Lord and Lady Lascelles (Princess Mary), of the Duke and Duchess of York, of Lady Louise Mountbatten and her recent fiance, Prince Gustaf Adolf of Sweden, and of King George and Cupid. Over each lady's heart appeared a money bag and from cupid's bow issued arrows piercing to each money bag.
