The Court of Appeals upheld a verdict awarding $45,000 damages and costs to the Russian Grand Duchess Xenia, sister of the ex-Tzar.
It appears that one Albert Frederick Calvert was engaged in a conspiracy in which the Grand Duchess was induced to part with some rare pearls.
