Demian Byedny, described as the "Russian Poet Laureate," has written a satire on Lloyd George:

Oh! if you know, Dear Mr. how we miss you all!

Your successors, who now rule England in your place,

Are so beastly clever and cute

That really I dare not write to them.

What a pity that you have retired.

It was always so easy to deal with you.

Every step of yours was so easy to see through.

But Curzon−try to argue or negotiate with him!

No one knows what he has in his mind or up his sleeve . . .
