A bill providing tor the sale of a site on S Street, Washington, for $185,000 and the purchase of another for a new French Embassy at 15th and Euclid Streets for the same amount was introduced into the Chamber of Deputies. It was explained that the opportunity to make the exchange came "as a favor" from the owner (Mrs. John B. Henderson) of the new site, which is far more valuable than the old.
