That did not prevent Daniel Webster Hoan, Socialist mayor of Milwaukee, from booming Debs for the Presidency of the United States.

At a mass meeting of 15,000 Socialists following the Socialist Convention in Manhattan, Mr. Hoan declared : " If the American people vote for their best interests. Eugene V. Debs will be our President in 1925. . . ....
