National Affairs: No Mileage Books?

The question of whether or not the railroads would issue, beginning May 15, $90 mileage scrip books at $72 was settled for a time by decision of the Federal District Court in Boston. The Interstate Commerce Commission ordered the issue of mileage books. Fifty railroads of the East asked an injunction restraining their issue. Three judges granted a permanent injunction, declaring the Interstate Commerce Commission's order illegal.
