Denouncing Government regulation by commission as a cancer which has eaten into the stability of the railway industry, L. F. Loree, president of the Delaware and Hudson Railroad, declared at a dinner celebrating the first centennial of an American railroad, that the ineffectiveness of such regulation has made railroading "no longer a business but a calamity."
