Arts: Saint-Gaudens' Ratings

Homer Saint-Gaudens, director of the art department of the Carnegie Institute, says that in the year 1922 Great Britain "went down perceptibly " in art, while France advanced. He believe the chief talent in England today to be that of an American, John Sargent. After him come the English painters, Augustus John and Sir William Orpen.
