In Hollywood, they say that movies are diversions from life's anxiety, rancor and tragedy. In the rest of the world, films are often a reflection of those troubles, a mirror into the dark soul of humanity. So each May, 35,000 movie folk convene in a Riviera paradise, where they place a stethoscope to mankind's heart and announce, this guy is sick!

The doctors were in again this year, at the 56th Cannes Film Festival. Outside, nature paraded 12 days of gorgeous weather and even more gorgeous strollers down the Cte d'Azur's Croisette....
