We are beginning to fear that our guide is leading us astray. Earlier in the day we embarked on a private-jeep tour of the main attraction in southern Vietnam's remote coastal town of Phan Thiet: large, golden sand dunes whipped into submission by swirling gusts of wind. Now, instead of heading back to our hotel with its pristine, palm-lined beach, our guide has us speeding out of town, beyond the cozy cove that shelters the locals' colorful fishing boatsbeyond, in fact, any sign of civilization. Where are we going?
