RODDY SCOTT, 31, intrepid British freelance journalist and cameraman who chose a hazardous career documenting neglected conflicts in such places as Sierra Leone, Yemen, Iraq, Afghanistan and Ethiopia; by a bullet in the eyepiece of his camera while filming a firefight between Chechen rebels and Russian troops; in Ingushetia. Russian forces discovered Scott's body among dozens of dead Chechen rebels.
