Renrui hates squats the most. The bar hurts her neck and shoulders, and you don't want to get her started on her throbbing quads. But the 25-year-old office worker is already 15 days into a 45-day physical fitness program at the Furongfang Women's Health Club in booming Guangzhou, and she isn't quitting. "There's a lot of pressure for young women to keep a stable job and find a good husband," says Renrui as she grimaces with the exertion of another deep knee- bend.
