    A fitting point of departure from Concord is Sleepy Hollow, a pleasant wooded ramble where 19th century Concordians used to take the air. Many of them linger there still. Sleepy Hollow is now a cemetery whose residents include the Alcotts, Emerson, Hawthorne, Lothrop and Thoreau.
