Muriel Siebert, 84, pioneering woman in the finance industry and the first, in 1967, to buy a seat on the New York Stock Exchange. She later became the first woman to serve as superintendent of banking for New York State.

AWARDED

The Medal of Honor, to Staff Sergeants Ty Carter and Clinton Romesha, for their actions at the Battle of Combat Outpost Keating in Afghanistan, marking the first time since Vietnam that a pair of living U.S. service members received the honor for the same battle.
