As a white South African committed to a future in our beautiful country and sensitive to criticism of its fragile democracy, I was ready to pull apart Alex Perry's cover story before I'd even read it [Oscar Pistorius and South Africa's Culture of Violence, March 11]. Sadly, however, I have to admit that he managed to get it right. Violent crime, massive inequality and rampant corruption are crippling our "rainbow nation."
