  • SENTENCED

Five months after he tried to detonate a car bomb in Times Square, Faisal Shahzad was in a Manhattan federal court, where he was sentenced to life in prison. The Pakistani-born U.S. citizen had pleaded guilty to 10 felony counts--including attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction--in June, when he proclaimed himself a "Muslim soldier." Shahzad, 31, received training and funding from the militant group Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan.
