    While it's impossible to say who the most influential person at the conference will be, I can certainly point to the oldest: Karabo, the 1.95 million-year-old hominid skeleton recently discovered outside Johannesburg by the son of paleoanthropologist Lee Berger, will be on display. Africa is the continent where human life began, and it is now the locus for all the human emotions that are focused on the great global game.
