Apparently it cant be said enough. Again last Friday, European leaders reaffirmed their "staunchest support" for the U.S. military actions in Afghanistan and promised to redouble their efforts across the board to "combat terrorism in every form, throughout the world." Earlier in the week, with the American bombing campaign against the Taliban in full flourish, it looked as if such wholehearted support might be hard to pin down even in words.
