The dramatic re-enactment was once the province of cheesy documentaries and low-budget crime shows. But lately it seems to be everywhere. In February, the E! Entertainment channel made headlines when it began airing nightly restagings of the Michael Jackson trial (those are the fakers above). E!'s re-enactments are serious--or at least are meant to be--but you can't turn on a talk show without seeing a jokey re-creation of one sort or another.
