Since it opened on one of Kampala's busiest intersections three months ago, the Shoprite mall has become Ugandan consumers' favorite place to shop. At lunchtime people queue to buy the latest cell phone accessories at the Mobile Telephone Communications store, tuck into greasy fried chicken in the Hungry Lion fast food outlet and push trolleys down the brightly-lit aisles of the Shoprite supermarket.
