TIME has had an exciting first half of the year internationally, winning acclaim around the world for outstanding editorial coverage and photojournalism. "…beautifully written, designed and rigorously reported", "…clear vision and a strong sense of reportage", "…a powerful, classic cover", "superb design…" is how the judges at this year's SOPA awards described some of TIME Asia's award-winning content - a sentiment that has been echoed internationally.

TIME picked up 9 awards, including Best Special Issue, Best Website, Best Feature Photography and Best Magazine Cover at this year's prestigious Society of Publishers in Asia (SOPA) Awards.

Best Special Issue
"After Bali" (October 25, 2002)

TIME has had a particularly strong presence at Photography awards in 2003. TIME photographer John Stanmeyer scooped four top photography awards and was honored at a further two award ceremonies for his powerful work. His images on AIDS in Asia for the feature, "As They Lay Dying", earned him four of these six awards.
